Woah joanne your posts colour is a bit of a strain in the eye!
Anyway I felt it was definately awesome that our homework was clearly explained in E3 and JYM. Personally I have been struggling on this topic, basically "what is the WILL of God?". If you attended E2 or E3, Pastor Sai Moi spells it out very clearly.
The will of God does not need to be a sign or miracle. It does not need to be a dream or vision, or a fantastic sign like Paul's. It is instead found in our very hands - the Bible. The will of God can be found in the Bible, in these passages:
The will of God is..To be thankful - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ..give thanks in all circumstances, for this is
God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
To be submissive - 1 Peter 2:13-15Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority,
or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.
For it is
God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.
To be sanctified - 1 Thessalonians 4:3It is
God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;
To accept suffering - 1 Peter 5:10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
To be spirit filledI lost the reference for this. I wrote Eph 5:17 but it doesn't seem like it...
The pastor also mentioned that when we do the above, we can choose what we want to do, and it will be God's will, cause He has provided with us the wisdom. I don't know how much you agree with this point. Nevertheless we should be more Christ-like and grow closer to God everyday. After all, don't worry if you have not been called into ministry, or you are not sure what God's purpose for your life. Jesus only started his ministry when he was 30 years old!
